The 778th is part of the Kansas Army National Guard. The unit falls under the 169th CSB (click link to go to 169CSB Web Site) based in Olathe, Kansas. The 778th is located in different locations across the state of Kansas. The Headquarters and 4th Plt are located in Kansas City, Kansas, with Detachments located in Manhattan, Emporia and Council Grove. The 778th is not like most traditional National Guard units that meet one weekend a month and two weeks out of the summer........instead the 778th is working year round providing motor transport to the State of Kansas and other agencies. Just in 2003 the 778th has accomplished over 50+ missions culminating in over 35,000 mission miles. If it wasn't for the hard charging soldiers of the 778th this would not be possible because all of these missions have happened on non-drill weekends and during the regular work week.

THE REASON WHY I TELL THEM IS BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT PEOPLE WANT AND PEOPLE AREN'T SENDING ME ANY SUGGESTIONS OR IDEAS. THIS SITE IS FOR THE TROOPS AND HELPING THEM STAY INFORMED.
